I enjoy long walks on the shores of the Columbia, shooting with a camera as well as a rifle, and speaking French to the animals in my yard. The designer fragrance I’m wearing is Deep Woods Off. And, I prefer my ice coffee shaken, not stirred. The name’s Brooks, K. S. Brooks — and from what I understand, that seems to be the issue.
“Why the initials?” is a question my boss gets on a weekly basis.
That, in turn, prompts a question from me — why is that important?
I’m pretty forthcoming in my articles. With every story I write, I reveal another piece of my true self, whether it be my fear of flipping over in a boat, or my hare-brained plan to buy a car to tow behind my RV, or how much I miss my little buddy, Mr. Pish. I enjoy putting 110% into researching and writing columns to share with Silverado readers in hopes that they might learn something new that has a positive impact on their lives — or just simply puts a bright spot in their days.
Writing has been a huge part of who I am since I was five-years old, and I’m proud to say that it is my full-time vocation.
